As part of the Office of the Chief Digital & Technology Officer (OCDTO), the Technology Strategy MBA Intern is in a highly strategic team that is helping shape the future of technology in Disney Parks, Experience and Products (DPEP). The CDTO leads a large and diverse team of technology and digital professionals across the U.S., Asia, and Europe in support of all businesses across the DPEP segment – including theme parks, resorts, cruise line, retail and ecommerce, publishing, games, and operations. This role will support the OCDTO define, execute, and continuously evolve the technology and digital strategy for DPEP.

You will report to the Director, Strategic Operations in the OCDTO.

What You Will Do

The MBA student will complete a paid, 12-week summer internship designed to provide the opportunity to apply business knowledge to real world problems with industry leaders in Technology. Our Disney Tech Internship Program is dedicated to providing meaningful opportunities for students through professional development, mentorship, networking opportunities, and career placement assistance. In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with OCDTO team members and others in DPEP T&D to conduct analyses, develop strategies, build stakeholder alignment, and deliver results that make Disney “future ready”
  • Assist with Chief of Staff obligations for the CDTO including internal and external executive communications
  • Be aware of external trends (strong and weak signals, emerging macro trends, etc.) and ongoing market changes that inform strategy development

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 2-3 years’ experience in management consulting, investment banking, marketing, or business management rotational programs
  • Expert use of communication technologies including Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint but also memos in Word and analyses in Excel) and visualization technologies such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Outstanding academic performance in a Business, Finance, Design, or Communications field
  • Ability to present information in an insightful and structured manner, both written and oral
  • Intellectually powerful: agile, curious, and creative
  • Strong reasoning and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative
  • Strong interpersonal skills: high ability to build strong relationships that inspire openness and trust, collaboration in teamwork settings, and to balance inquiry and advocacy in all personal interactions
  • Comfortable with working on difficult issues where there can be no definitive “right” answer and patient in the face of uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Current MBA candidate

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Housing and Transportation: All interns are required to provide their own housing and transportation during the internship.
  • Program Dates: Interns must be fully available from May/June through August/September 2024. Interns are expected to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday.
  • Hybrid: This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
