Kotak Life Insurance Scholarship Program 2023-24 is an initiative by Kotak Life Insurance Company Ltd. to provide financial assistance to students from Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra to help them continue their higher education.
Under this scholarship program, students from Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra who are currently studying in the first-year of B.Com. course at 6 specified colleges will receive a scholarship of up to ₹30,000 per year to pay off their academic expenses.

Eligibility
- Open for students who are residents of Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.
- Applicants must be enrolled in the first-year of B.Com. program at any of the specified colleges in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. The list of colleges is given below –
- A. Veeriya Memorial Sri Pushpam College (Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu)
- Nadar Mahajana Sangam S. Vellaichamy Nadar College (Madurai, Tamil Nadu)
- Edayathangudy G.S. Pillay Arts and Science College (Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu)
- Jai Hind Sindhu Education Trust’s Manghanmal Udharam College of Commerce (Pune, Maharashtra)
- Gokhale Education Society’s B.Y.K. (Sinnar) College of Commerce (Nashik, Maharashtra)
- LRD and SRP College for Women (Nagpur, Maharashtra)
- Applicants must have scored 65% marks or more in Classes 10 and 12.
- Applicants must have passed Class 12 in the year 2022–2023.
- Applicant’s annual family income must be ₹3,60,000 or less.
Benefits:
Up to ₹30,000 per year for 3 years to cover the academic expenses.

Q1. What is the selection process for this scholarship program?
The selection of scholars for the ‘Kotak Life Insurance Scholarship Program 2023-24’ will be based on the academic merit and financial background of the applicants. It involves a multi-stage process as detailed below –
- Initial shortlisting of applications based on the eligibility criteria specified
- Document verification
- Telephonic interview of shortlisted candidates post document verification
- The final selection and the awarding of the scholarship will be at the discretion of Kotak Life Insurance
Q2. Will I get this scholarship for subsequent years of studies?
Yes! Students will receive the scholarship subsequently for 3 years. The continuation of scholarship in subsequent years will be subject to student clearing the previous year’s academic exam.
Q3. Can students from pan India apply for the scholarship program?
No! Only students who are residents of Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra are eligible for the scholarship.
Q4. If I get selected for this program, how will I receive the scholarship amount?
The scholarship amount will be transferred directly to the respective colleges.
Q5. I am currently studying in a regular B.Com. course. Can I apply for this scholarship?
No. You cannot apply for this scholarship program as it is only open for students studying in the first-year of B.Com. program at 6 specified colleges.
